This book tells the story of how the author’s mother, Ethel Mozel Thompson, entered all of her children as plaintiffs in lawsuits to desegregate the Arlington County School District, in Virginia. It is told through the eyes of her children and grandchildren, and includes both newspaper clippings and transcripts of the trial as well as personal stories and family photos.
